Hiya, does anyone have any experience of sending things back to Melodia from the UK.
I've bought a pair that come up far to long, gutted! I need to swap them for a shorter pair but i'm thinking it will cost lots and take forever?
Any UK buyers out there who've sent things back??
Many thanks
Amy

Re: UK buyer returns/exchange
Tue, June 9, 2009 - 1:20 PMMight be cheaper to sell to someone else in the UK and re-purchase what you need. -

Re: UK buyer returns/exchange
Thu, June 11, 2009 - 10:46 AMHi Amy.... I returned some pants which were too long, and exchanged them for a different size. It was no problem. (mind you, this was about 18 months ago... dunno if the policy has changed since) I'd ordered them via ebay, so I emailed to say what I intended to do, sent a covering letter with them stating what I needed as an exchange, and received the replacement with no difficulties. Hope the same happens for you. It's OK selling them on to someone else in the UK if you can find someone who wants the exact same pants in the exact same size, and is willing to pay pretty much full price for them... but that ain't always easy. Of course, there's the postage and packaging both ways, so..... -

Thu, June 11, 2009 - 12:35 PMHi Sarah, thanks for your message!
Can you remember how much the postage cost you roughly?
seeing as postage from america in the first place was nearly twenty quid i dont know if i can afford that on top of the trousers and i got stung for customs this time in. it would mean that one pair of trousers could potentially cost me in the region of of £130?? Madness!

Sat, June 13, 2009 - 2:01 AMSorry Amy, I really can't remember the postage costs. I have a sieve-like head at times. Bummer you got stung by customs this time. That happened to me one time, with a 25yd skirt I bought from a US seller. I ended up paying about £12 to customs before I could pick it up from the post office. Grrrrrrrr! Luckily, the Melo and the Phoenix stuff I've ordered has always gone through with no problem. Maybe you could try selling them on in the UK after all? Bet you'll get some takers hun. Worth a try anyway. -

Re: UK buyer returns/exchange
Sat, June 13, 2009 - 2:22 AMIt's far cheaper to send back to the US from here, but you'll have to pay postage again from the US for your replacement...you'd have to pay that anyway if you sold them & ordered another pair! Are they the normal melos? You can take them up with a bit of ruching on the side of each knee, or get them altered professionally - they'll be able to keep the lovely lettucey edging. That'd probably be the cheapest option.

Re: UK buyer returns/exchange
Sat, June 13, 2009 - 9:53 AMCheers mond! One of my fellow dancers is a fab seamstress and has an overlocker so altering them had crossed my mind. its by far the cheapest option too so think i will probably go for that! i'm just a little nervy of cutting bits off but she has offered to do it for me so think i may take her up on it!
Thanks for your help!
Really wish there was a UK retailer though, life would be so much easier, cheaper and we wouldnt have to wait so long! This pair took a month to arrive, felt like i waited forever!
